Belthangady: The staff and students of SDM Engineering College celebrated ‘Engineer’s Day’. They offered floral tributes to the portrait of Sir M. Visvesvaraya.
Speaking on the occasion, Head of the Electrical Department, Dr. Manjunath said that the efforts of the engineers behind the construction of dams, bridges and infrastructure are immense. It is Sir M. Visvesvaraya who is the best example among engineers who make the nation proud with remarkable deeds and talent. He hoped that the students would follow his ideals and achieve success in life.
“In order to inculcate interest in Science and Technology among school children in rural areas, a team of college teachers and students will conduct workshops in local high schools, said Principal Ashok Kumar.
