Belthangady: “Hindi is the language that unites all of us like a bridge of unity and integrity of the country,” said Ujire SDM Botany Department Head Dr. B. A. Kumar Hegde.
On Wednesday September 14, the Hindi Department of the College conducted a BEd Degree.
He was speaking after presiding over the ‘Hindi Diwas Function’ organised at the auditorium. At present it is necessary to learn many languages. He said Hindi is the language that unites the country and very useful to learn that language as well.
Chief Guest, State Bank of India Ujire Branch Manager of Praveena, said that students who graduate and drop out of college will need Hindi language when they go out of the State for employment in sectors like banking etc.
SDM College of Education Principal Dr. Santosh Saldanha said, “The people of Tulunadu are multilingual lovers. Just as people from outside here learn Tulu along with Kannada, the people here also learn Hindi along with Kannada. They also learn other languages.”
Dr. B. A. Kumar Hegde administered the oath of Hindi Diwas to the students.
The Head of the Department of Hindi Mallikarjuna N. welcomed the gathering. Professor Shruti Manakikar proposed the vote of thanks. Farhana Parveen, a student, compered the programme.
