Belthangadi: The National Service Planning Unit of Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwar College, Ujire is celebrating its golden jubilee by organizing the annual special camp for the year 2022-23 at Government Senior Primary School, Parlani. The seven day special camp was conducted on Thursday in the presence of dignitaries.
Launched under the motto “Young People for Science and Scientific Temperament”, this special camp was inaugurated by progressive farmer Ananta Rao of Charmadi on the floor of the Math..
Addressing the programme, he said that the idea and realization of the National Service Scheme camp is being implemented in a good way, for which I have my full support. These kinds of thoughts and plans should be done regularly. He opined that there will be cooperation from our town for this. He expressed his happiness that National Service Scheme camp is a well organized camp.
The chief guest for the program was the Dean of Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwar Post Graduate Center. P. Vishwanath addressed the volunteers and said that NSS is a wonderful project of our country, a project to teach life education to female students. He said that the personality of the children of this school will be developed from the NSS camp and it will also be useful for the people of the town.
At the same time, the Dean of SDM College’s Science Institute presided over the program. B.A Kumara Hegda Matanadi The seven days of this camp should be remembered for life. The programs held in the camp are complementary to personality building. He remembered the words of Basavanna that all the volunteers should understand the value of Kayakave Kailasa – hard work, that is the basic purpose of this camp.
Hamid Sarpittilu, a progressive agriculturist, released the sowing letter, artistically designed by NSS volunteers. D.K.G.Pt. Principal of Senior Primary School, Parlani, B. Tammaiah shared his views on the factors that contribute to school development from the camp. On this occasion, all the dignitaries on the stage were honored with a memento prepared by the volunteers.
Also in the program, the chairman of the school development and supervision committee, K. Krishnaprasad Puttila, school teachers, village leaders, villagers who are providing all kinds of support to the camp were present. National Service Project Project Officer Dr. Lakshminarayan K.S welcomed everyone, Deepa R. Thank you P. Nupura, a volunteer, narrated the program
