Belthangady: On Tuesday September 20, Young Challengers’ Sports Association met Puttur Assistant Commissioner (AC) Girish Nandan and discussed that Mundaje village needs a separate 5-acre Government stadium.

Two years ago, the application was made by the Sports Association in the village meeting, and the said application has already been submitted to the Deputy Commissioner and Youth Services and Sports Department. A letter has already been sent to the Tahasildar from the superior department to identify the government land in survey number 200 of the village (next to Navodaya Residential School), a copy of which was also brought to AC’s attention.

Responding to the request, AC informed Tahasildar Prithvi Sanikam who was present on the occasion and directed him to identify the place through the village clerk and immediately prepare a file and submit it for sanctioning purpose.

Convenor Namadesa Rao, Advisory Committee Member Babu Pujari Kulooru were part of the delegation along with Young Challengers’ Sports Association President Ashraf Alikunhi Mundaje.
