Belthangady: Dakshina Kannada District Panchayat Deputy Secretary Anandakumar along with Belthangady Taluk Panchayat officials visited the area reserved for the public lake near Suria Road in Ujire, where the Lokayukta filed a self-complaint.
He said that in the 15th Financial Plan of the Taluk Panchayat on behalf of Ujire Gram Panchayat Udyog Khatri Yojana has been planned to spend Rs. 2.87 lakh including Rs. 1 lakh from own resources. In all, Rs. 8.80 lakh of plan has been made to construct a compound, a road and a garden in the middle.
Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat Secretary Anand Kumar, ADPC Kishan, Technical Assistant Nitin Rai, Coordinator Rutesh, Belthangadi Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer Kusumadhar, Assistant Director Prashanth, Ujire Village Panchayat Development Officer Prakash Shetty Nochcha, and Secretary Jayant U.B. others were present.
