Belthangady: The Tahasildar’s Village Stay programme was held at Nidle Government High School here on Saturday September 17.
Belthangady Tahasildar Prithvi Sanikam, who inaugurated the programme, said that it is a programme where Government officials come to the people and respond to the problems of the people and it will help them to get information about government facilities and avail the facilities.
At the meeting, the villagers demanded that the people who had applied for the schemes, including the illegal regularisation 94, C, had been roaming continuously for many years due to the issue of demarcating the land between the Forest and the Revenue Department in the village. Responding to this, the officials said that the problem has already been resolved in Rekhya and efforts are on to solve the problem in Kalenja and it will be taken up soon in Nidle Gram Panchayat. Further, the people demanded that all the documents should be made available in one place when they visit the Taluk Office as thay have to wander to different places for different documents. They also drew attention to various issues in the Village.
Gram Panchayat President Praveen Hebbar presided over the function.
