Belthagady:Kannada University, Hampi has conferred a doctorate degree on Vidushi Suchitra Holla, famous in Carnatic classical music, for her dissertation on the subject of “Marketing in Commerce – Agricultural Livelihood”.
Dr. Suchitra Holla undertook this study under the guidance of Dr. HD Prashant, Head of the Department of Development Studies, Hampi University. Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot conferred the doctorate degree at the convocation “Nudihabba-31” held on the campus of Kannada University, Hampey recently. Vidushi Suchitra Holla Kopati is a well-known Carnatic classical music singer from Karnataka one of the famous Carnatic classical music singers of Karnataka.
She was born in an art-loving family in Ujira and came to light as a talented artist. Music and singing are in his blood, grandmother Saraswathiamma was a household name singing Hase Song and Shobhane songs. Father Vedamurthy Srinivasa Hollar Ujire is famous as the chief priest of Sri Janardana temple and a devotee of Havyasi Yakshagana. Mother Mukambika Holla also has a special interest in music, Yakshagana. A first ranker in Vidwat, M music degree, he gave his first concert in his 7th year, he started Sadhana Sangeet School in Puttur for music broadcasting with young singers as its teachers created .
She has served as a lawyer, served as a lecturer at Sandesh Lalitha College of Fine Arts and is currently serving as a music teacher at Uppinangady Government Undergraduate College. She has won several awards all over the country and is married to businessman Harish Holla and resides in Puttur Kombettu with her son Teja Chinmaya Holla.
