70th Birthday Celebration of Ramakrishna Shastri

Beltangady: Literary p. Ramakrishna Shastri is celebrating his 70th birthday this July. Engaged in writing since his eleventh year. So far 12000+ articles written by him have been published in Kannada newspapers of the state. 101 books published.

 

Articles, stories have been translated into Tulu, English, Malayalam, Hindi.
Articles and stories are contained in Maharashtra government’s Kannada text, Mangalore University text.
It is worth mentioning that there are no such writers in Belthangadi Taluk..

In this regard, it was decided to hold his felicitation ceremony and book release on June 8 at Belthangadi.
Dr.D. Virendra Heggade was visited to honor his participation in the program.
Heggade wholeheartedly agreed to come to the program. Sampath Suvarna, Committee Convenor,Ashok Bhat Ujire,Bhujabali Dharmasthala,Dr. Bhaskar Hegade, Dr.Srinath M.P , N. Jaya Shankar Sharma, D.Prashant Balanja, Dayananda Belalu,
Lakshmi Machina was present. In the consultation meeting held before that , Ra.The committee formed to felicitate Shastri on his 70th birthday was ‘P.R. It was named Shastri’ Appreciation Committee. Thinker Aravinda Chokkadi spoke about the program outline. In the meeting, District Kasapa President Dr. M.P. Srinath, Taluk Kasapa President Yadupati Gowda, SDM College Retired Principal Dr. N. P. Udayachandra, Sacred Heart College Principal Dr. N.M. Joseph, Kuri Foundation Coordinator Ujire Ashoka Bhatt, Head of Journalism Department Dr. Bhaskar Hegde, Organizer Bhujabali Dharmasthala, Regional Director of Dharmasthala Village Development Project N. Jayashankar Sharma, Lecturer Rajeshwari Chetan, Taluk Panchayat Officer Prashant Balanja, Dentist Dr. Shasidhara Dongre, businessman Pushparaja Shetty, Jainmilan ex-president Dhankeerthi Ariga, ex-soldier Kanchodu Gopalakrishna Bhat, teachers union ex-president Dharanendra Jain, journalist BS Kulal were present.
