Belthangady :7th year of people participation by Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Village Development Project On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, 16,239 Shraddha Kendras will be cleaned across the state.
Religious shrines are an important part of villages. If these are kept clean, the spirit of environmental cleanliness will be universal, the Dharmadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala, Dr.|| D. As per the idea of Virendra Heggade and Matrusree Hemavati Heggade, a massive cleaning campaign of shrines is being carried out with the participation of people through Sri Kshetra Dharmasthal Village Development Project.
Twice a year i.e. during the week of August 15th and January 14th, volunteers undertake cleaning of places of worship such as temples, shrines, mosques and churches.
For the past 7 years, the members of the self-help groups have been continuously cleaning the shrines. This time, before Makar Sankrati, Uttarayana Punya, January 14, all the shrines in the state should be clean and sanctified.
16,239 Shraddhakendras have been identified across the state and about 4,07,043 volunteers, temple management board, union office bearers, public awareness members, members of Navjeevan Samiti, members of Shaurya Disaster Management, Swachhata Senanis, village dignitaries, members of Gram Panchayat will participate in the cleanliness program across the state.
It is our responsibility to maintain the sanctity of religious centers. In this regard, Sri Kshetra D.G.Y.Executive Director L.H. Manjunath said in a release that the cleanliness program of the Shraddha centers across the state will be successfully conducted.
