Belthangadi: The Jain community on Tuesday submitted a request to the Prime Minister and the President for the protection of Sammedagiri shrine. The Jain community in Belthangadi on Tuesday submitted a petition to the Prime Minister and the President through Tehsildar Prithvi Sanikam, condemning the government’s plan to develop Sammedagiri constituency, a sacred seat of Jains in the state of Jharkhand, as a tourist spot.
Dr. Jayakirthi Jain, Dr. Ha.Ma.Na. Research Center Director Dr. SD Shetty, Suguna S. D. Shetty, Vijayakumar Jain, Niranjan Jain Kudyadi and others were present.
