Belthangadi: Ashoka Ningaya Swami Pujari, who is the strong aspirant of the Congress party from the Gokaka Vidhan Sabha constituency, along with the family of Gokaka, along with more than a thousand supporters, took oath in the presence of Dharmasthala Sri Manjunath Swami.

After talking to the media, he said, “My family has been involved in politics for the last 40 years in the Gokak Assembly constituency.
I contested from JDS party in 2008 and 2013 Vidhan Sabha elections, from BJP in 2018 and then from JDS party in 2019 by-elections. This time I am seeking ticket from Congress party
He said, “Why do we change parties repeatedly? Our family is a middle-class family because we won the election in Gokak Assembly Constituency with the strength of money and strength of arms.” It is imperative that I join the people and face the election. He said that even when I contested three times in the past, in the last hour of the election, only the opposition party and those who were with me raised a stone against me.
But he said that he has not received money from his rivals in any way and has taken an oath in Dharamsthala about this.

In politics, he has lived a life of struggle and honesty and has not given even a single penny to his voters. Those who voted for him should not be mistrusted. My family has been involved in politics for 60 years. He has been working as an active politician for 45 years.
