Belthangady: BJP workers in Kuvettu filled potholes on the road from Guruvayanakere to Jainpete through shramadaana to facilitate smooth vehicular movement on the Mangaluru – Villupuram National Highway.
All the activists of Bharatiya Janata Party’s Kuvettu Shakti Kendra participated in the shramadaana. It is learnt that the repair work will be done as soon as the rains subside a bit.
A four-lane road from Guruvayanakere to Ujire and a two-lane road from Punjalakatte to Charmadi will be constructed at the cost of Rs. 718 Crore.
It is also informed that the tender process has been completed and the work will start in November
