Belthangady: The development is gaining momentum due to the contribution of co-operative societies in Ujire, which is a commercial hub. A new building of Ujire PKPS Seva Sangha will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 3 Crore, said MLA Harish Poonja.
He was speaking after laying the foundation stone of the new building on Saturday September 17.
The experience of Ichila Sundara Gowda, President of the co-operative and political system, is an inspiration, he said and assured the association that he would provide necessary cooperation in future as an MLA.
MLC Pratapsimha Nayak said that the new building will help many people in Ujire to make a living by laying the foundation stone for a big project in the growing village of Ujire. He said such an idea can grow if the planning is farsighted.
