Belthangady: Education Minister B. C. Nagesh said that necessary facilities will be provided to the school.
The Minister, who arrived in Ujire, visited Kanyadi Upgraded Government Higher Primary School on Friday September 16 and expressed his happiness.
Replying to a media query on the appointment of guest teachers, he said that the appointment of guest teachers is in the process and the recruitment of general category teachers will be done in the first phase after Monday September 19.
He spent some time with the children and asked them questions about school activities. He discussed the demands of the school with the governing body. There are already 11 classes going on in the school. At present there are 8 rooms and the School Development Committee requested the Minister on the need for an additional three rooms. He immediately responded and assured that necessary funds would be provided for the additional room and telephoned the Principal Secretary of the Education Department and explained about the school.
Shaurya, a student of the same school, who was recently awarded an honorary doctorate degree from the Asia Vedic Culture University in Tamil Nadu at the youngest age, was felicitated by the Minister.
