Belthangady: A palm tree uprooted after being struck by lightning at Attidadi in Thottathadi Village under Charmadi Gram Panchayat limits recently.
Balanna Gowda’s house nearby was struck by lightning and the electric wiring was completely burnt and the switchboard and metre boards were damaged.
The wall of the house was also damaged and the family members are out of danger.
It is learnt that some houses and appliances have been damaged.
