Belthangady: Under the auspices of Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, Belthangady and Gram Panchayat Ujire, a rabies vaccination programme was held for pet dogs in Ujire Gram Panchayat.
Gram Panchayat President Pushpavathi R. Shetty inaugurated the programme.
Chief Veterinary Officer (Administration) Dr. Manja Naik T. C, Senior Veterinary Officer Dr. Yatish Kumar MS, PDO Prakash Shetty Nocha, and Gram Panchayat members were present.
Departmental Veterinary Examiners Nagashayana Rao, Rajavarma Jain, Sridhar and Gangadharaswamy participated as vaccinators.
More than 400 dogs were vaccinated free of charge at 20 places under the Gram Panchayat.
