Belthangady: Sharada Pooja programmes from October 2

Belthangady: The 42nd annual Shri Sharada Puja Festival will be held from Sunday October to Wednesday October 5 with various religious and cultural programmes organised by the Ujire Shree Sharada Puja Committee at the Shree Sharada Mantapa.

On the morning of Sunday, Shri Ganapati Havana and Shri Sharada Murthy Prathishte. On this occasion, G. Prabhat Bhat, Vrinda Sharath Krishna Paduvetnaya, Lakshmi Ramaswamy, Jyoti P. Naik, Reshma Mohan Kumar and Aparna Sivakanta Gowda will be present.

Bhaktigaan Yaksha Dance by Mundaje’s Kirtana Art Troupe, Bhajan by Sri Mahammai Bhajana Board in the evening, Samuhika Sri Durga Namaskara and Bharatanatyam ‘Nrityarpanam’ by the students of Sri Devikiran Dance Teacher Vidushi Swathi Jayaram and Vidushi Prithvi Satish will be performed at night.

On Monday, there will be Rangavalli competition in the morning, bhajan by Ujire Matr Mandali and in the evening by Vidushi Anasuya Pathak and the students of Sri Krishna Ganasudha Sangeeta Vidyalaya singing of Sri Devi songs will be held.

On Tuesday morning there will be bhajan by Shri Mariambika Bhajana Mandali of Ujire, Kunita Bhajana by Shri Raghavendra Bhajana Mandali of Guripalla Jayanagar, Bhajan by Sri Janardana Swami Bhajana Mandali of Ujire, dance variety by Priya Satish and troupe will be held.

On October 5 morning Aksharabhyasa, Shree Durga Homam, afternoon Annasantarpane, devotional songs led by Santhosh Acharya Attaje of Ujire’s Chigurida Kanasu team, evening artiste D. B. Prakash Devadiga troupe will play the saxophone and at night various cultural troupes, sthabda Chitra and firecrackers displays, the rich Shobhayatra of Sri Sharada Murthy will proceed through the main roads of the Town. Finally, the murthy will be dissolved in the temple lake.

Various competitions are organised for men, women and children on the occasion of Sharadotsava. Committee President Madhava Holla, Secretary Ajay Shetty and members have requested the devotees to participate in the programmes and make them successful.
