Belthangady: Teacher’s Day is a day to honour deities who remove bad thoughts from mind, said MLA Harish Poonja.
He was speaking at the Teachers’ Day celebration organised by Belthangady Teachers’ Day Committee, Taluk Panchayat, Department of School Education and Literacy and PP Under the aegis of Belthangady Cluster on Monday September 5. If there is an invisible God who sows letters in innocent minds and shapes a person’s personality, it is the teacher, he said.
“Teachers’ Day is celebrated as the day of the gods who remove evil thoughts in the form of Brahma, knowledge in the form of Vishnu, thus creating a wonderful society with a great spirit of service.

Schools with 100% results in the year 2021-22 were honoured. The students who secured the first 3 positions in the last ECSC and 5 students who secured 625 full marks in ECSC were honored as special spirits. Prizes were distributed to the winning teachers in the sports event and to the winning teachers in the cultural program.
A proposal was submitted to select self-respecting public schools in the state.
