Belthangady: ‘Things have no value, only good nature has’

Belthangady: The value of a man and he will always be remembered only by his achievements and qualities and not by material collections, said Ujire Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College Lecturer Dr. Sridhar Bhat.

He was speaking in a lecture programme on “Puranic Literature and Life Values” held at Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara High School. The programme was jointly held under the Akhila Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad, Chutuku Sahitya Parishad and Beltangady Taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishad. “Mythological literature is always useful. We should take good life values ​​as our companion. Purana literatures teach such qualities and life values. They also guide us with the dos and don’ts, how to be and what not to be and hence he opined that we need to improve our judgment by studying Puranic literature.

The meeting was presided over by the Headmaster Ramakrishna Bhat, who is also the Secretary of Beltangyadi Taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishad. Sulaiman Bhimande, President of the School Parent Association and Retired Principal U. Vishweshwara Bhat were present.

Beltangady Taluk Akhila Bharatiya Parishad President Prof. Ganapati Bhat welcomed the guest and Teacher Varija S. Gowda delivered the vote of thanks. Secretary of Akhila Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad Belthangady Taluk Committee Subhashini presented the programme. All the teaching staff of the school participated in the programme.
