Belthangady: Legal Advisor of Ujire Traders’ Association B. K. Dhananjaya Rao said that associations are gatherings of like-minded people.
He was speaking at Sri Ramakrishna Sabha, Ujire on Tuesday September 27 at relief fund dedication programme organised by the Ujire Traders’ Association for businessmen who suffered losses in the recent fire disaster in Ujire. “Negative compliments are sometimes natural when forming associations but it is necessary to share our achievements and to cooperate rocing consolation when difficulties arise. He said that the greatest service is the help given through cooperation.
Honorary President of the Association Sharath Krishna Paduvetnaya said that mutual help showcases emotional support. Giving mental courage helps the distressed. He said that there is a need to conduct information workshops on insurances to compensate for the losses that occur when calamities happen.
Ujire Traders’ Association President Aravinda Karanth presided. Ujire Gram Panchayat Vice President Ravikumar Baremelu, senior traders Richard Saldanha, Padmanabha Shettigar, Bharat Kumar and others were present.
Secretary Prasad compered the programme.
Nagesh Bhat, Rajeev, Yogeesh Kumar, Ramanna and Vasant who suffered losses due to the fire disaster, Rs. 3,10,012 was handed over to them by cheques. This money was collected through the Traders’ Association.
The reconstruction of the shops damaged by the fire that broke out near Anugraha School, Ujire on August 31 is underway.
The building containing all the assets of these shops was also destroyed in the fire, causing a loss of crores of rupees. Now the work of rebuilding these shops along with the building has begun.
Shops damaged in the fire near Charmady Road in Ujire on September 20 are preparing to resume business.
