Belthangady: The campaign, “Namma Pradhan Mantrig Tuluvere Postcard” was launched in Banjaru Male, a border area of the Taluk in Dakshina Kannada District. This is an area inhabited by the tribals of the original race of Tulunadu.
Launched on Thursday September 1 the campaign aims to send more than 1 lakh postcards to the Prime Minister for recognition of Tulu language. It seeks the support of all organisations for this campaign.
The campaign has been symbolically launched from Banjaru Male. The indigenous people of Banjaru Male expressed their support for the postcard campaign for the recognition of Tulu language. Tulu, our mother tongue, should get recognition from the government and hence launching the campaign by writing postcards from all the houses, he said.
In Belthangady, Tuluvere party has received full support and the event was attended by President of Tuluvere Kudla (R) Prateek U., Vice-president Santhosh Poojary and members Prajwal, Women’s Wing President Pooja Shetty, Member Nikshita, Tulunadu News Weekly Editor Puneeth, and Tuluver Party President Shailesh R. J.
