Belthangadi: The decomposed body of an unidentified person was found in a public drinking water tank near Kayartadka Umamaheswara temple here.
This morning water has been supplied from this tank to the local environment and people have brought to the notice of the panchayat that the water is smelling bad. When the locals immediately went and looked inside the tank, they found the body of an unknown man floating. The body was decomposed and it is estimated that he may have died about four days ago. It is suspected that he may have committed suicide and Dharmasthala police have reached the spot.
