Chappara Muhurta held in Kudyadi Garadi on January 1st

Belthangadi, Jan. 4: Kodamanitthaya Daivastha-Brahmabaidarkala Garadi in Angangudde/Angandamel of Kudyadi village has been renewed (renovated) as Shilamaya Garadi.Chappara Muhurta was held on January 1st on account of Punar Pratistha Kalashabhishek and year-long appointment to be held on January 24, 25, 26.

Under the leadership of Prakash Bhat, patron of Shree Somanatheshwari temple in Aladangadi, the chief guest, famous and senior doctor of Aladangadi, Dr. N.M. Tulupule performed the ritual.

Addressing the villagers in the assembly program held later, Tulupule said, “Chappara is very necessary for auspicious events and I got the privilege of participating in the Chappara Muhurta of Garadi’s Kalashabhishek. This was possible because of the love of the villagers.”

The guest of the program, former member of Zilla Panchayat Dharanendra Kumar said, “Kodamanittaya, Baidarkals are the powers that give strength to those who believe. It is essential to worship the gods. It is special that the garadi here is at the highest place in the taluk.”

Shri Gurunarayan Seva Sangh Aladangadi zone president Sanjiva Pujari Kodange said, “In the past, royal families used to build temples and deities. Now the people have got that power. The people of Kudyadi have restored the garadi and turned it into a stone garadi.”

Speaking in the introductory speech, Kudyadi Garadi Restoration Committee President Vishwanath Pujari Kudyadiguthu said, “The Garadi has been beautifully renovated and stands up due to the guidance of village elders like Koragappa Pujari Kodibale, the hard work and hope of the youth.”

Dr NM Tulupule donated Rs 52,000 on his behalf for the renovation of Garadi. The donation of the amount was handed over on the same occasion.

Koragappa Pujari, Honorary President of Kudyadi Garadi Festival Committee, presided over the program.

Jatrotsava Samiti President Anantharaja Jain Antaraguthu, Kodamanittaya Deity Repository House Master Shashikant Jain Mundajeguthu, Deity Repository House Master Lingappa Bangera Kempanottuguthu, Baidarkala Repository House Master Achyuta Pujari Kodibaleguthu, Village Gurikara Vasu Pujari, Sulkeri Gram Panchayat Member Shubkara Pujari, Jains Padar Namba Keshtar. Jatrotsava Committee Secretary Sundara Acharya Antarothu, Guthu-Barke family and Kudyadi-Baraya villagers were present.

Rehabilitation Committee Secretary Sadananda B. Bakyarada conducted the program. Secretary Sajith Kumar Pijatyaradda also felicitated.
