Development of infrastructure in Belthangadi taluk

Belthangadi: In the last four and a half years, the development of infrastructure in Belthangadi taluk is a model for others.

 

The most important of which is the widening and renovation of state highways. The state and national highways connecting Belthangadi are now at the peak of rapid development. Earlier, road connectivity was a major challenge for Belthangadi, which connects the important tourism and religious centers of the district and the state. But the current phenomenon has changed. Along with rural roads, state highways and national highways are developing rapidly.

The roads from Mudubidre and up to Guruvayanakere to join Sri Kshetra Dharmasthal with Subrahmanya, Shiradi, Charmadi via Karkala were winding and narrow. Realizing that there are many accidents, MLA Harish Poonja prioritized development in line with tourism and allocated 37 crore rupees from Guruwayanakere to Venur Moodubidre and Karkala road under the State Highway Development Work Project under Public Works Department. Succeeded in getting grant.
15 crores from Shaktinagar to Gardadi Nandibetta for road connecting Venur under state highway development works. 5 km road has been widened and developed beautifully in the grant. The road which was previously 5 meters wide has been widened to 7 meters.
The first solar lighthouse of the district
5 km 1.6 km from Gardadi to Nandibetta on Development Road. The road has been widened into a four-lane road and a divider has been created in between. Most of the time dividers are constructed with electric beacons and the maintenance responsibility falls on the local government. But D.K. Guruwayanakere Shaktinagar-Pilya road is very important
23.5 crores. Under the grant, Guruwayanakere-Karkala State Highway-37 will be extended from Shaktinagar-Pilya in Guruwayanakere to 11 km. The road development work is going on at a fast pace. It will be a 10 meter wide two lane road which is already about 8 km. The road is complete. Kirusetuve at Pilya, 4 lane road with 200 meter long divider will be constructed at Aladangadi town. Public Works Department Belthangadi Division A.E.E. said that the proposal for the next stage of development work from Pilya to Hosamath is in the stage of the government. Guruprasad said.
