Belthangady: A 24th year bhajan training workshop has been organised at Amritavarshini Auditorium in Dharmasthala from September 16 to 23.
At 11.00 am on Friday September 16, the famous film playback singer from Bengaluru, Dr. Shamita Malnad will inaugurate the bhajan training workshop. Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala D. Veerendra Heggade will preside over the function.
Mohandas Swamiji of Manila, Hemavathi V. Heggade and D . Harshendra Kumar will grace the occasion.
Information and guidance will be provided by experts through lectures, demonstrations, bhajans and drama performances.
Renowned singers Shankar Shanbhag, Ramakrishna Katukukke, Rajesh Padiyar from Mysuru, Usha Hebbar from Manipal, Sangeetha Balachandra, Ramesh Kalmadi and Shankar from Udupi, Mangaldas Gulwadi, Mohandas Shenoy, Nagesh Shenoy, Raviraj Ujire, Kumari Chaitra, Manorama Tholpadittaya, Sunil Shetty and Dharmasthala will be the resource persons.
C. Vishvaprasanna Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Matha, Udupi will give his blessings at the valedictory function to be held on Friday.
Minister V. Sunil Kumar and film music director Sridhar Sambhram will grace the occasion.
There will be a mass dance bhajan of 5000 bhajans from 300 bhajan troupes from Udupi and Dakshina Kannada Districts.
