Forest fire under control in Urjalubetta

Belthangadi: The fire in the grasslands of Urjalubetta, Kudura Koppalu area of ​​Aladangadi part of Kudremukh National Park and the forest areas of Didupe part have been brought under control and the danger that could have arisen in this part has been avoided. But it is said that the fire has not been fully controlled in some parts of Mullodi, Bhamikonda, Kerekatte Bhagwati forest area of ​​Kudremukh part.

The Belthangadi Wildlife Department has been working tirelessly for the last three days and the operation was finalized on Wednesday night. Later on Thursday also, the staff went to the places where the fire broke out and checked till the evening.
They returned after putting out the small fires that were burning here and there.
It has come to know that there is no damage to the forest maramuts of Belthangadi taluk. But the dry grass in the hilly areas was completely burnt.
If it spreads further, there is a possibility of forest fire in the forest area and destruction of the forest.
