Inauguration of Farmer’s Day and Kisan Concert

Belthangady:Despite the arrival of improved machinery, the farmer is facing one or the other difficulty due to extreme weather conditions. Sampath Samraj, President of the District Agricultural Society, expressed concern that if the village grows and becomes self-sufficient, the trend of migration from the village to the city will be reversed.

Under the joint auspices of Atma Yojana Agriculture Department, Taluk Agricultural Society and District Agricultural Society, he inaugurated the Farmer’s Day and Kisan Concert on December 23. A farmer’s son also gets educated. All the governments have been giving farmers decent scheme. But none of this is coming. He hoped that the farmer should also live with self-respect.

President of Taluk Agricultural Society Mahaveer Jain presided. Tehsildar Prithvi Sanikam, T.K.S. Vice President Surekha Bhandari, Animal Husbandry Department Assistant Deputy Director Manja Naik, Horticulture Department Senior Assistant Director Chandrasekhar K.S., District Cr.S. Representative Raju Pujari, Technical Officer Humera Jabin were present.

Assistant Director of Agriculture Ranjit T.M. Welcomed. Chidananda Hoogar of Agriculture Department narrated. Muniraj Azri saluted. Pragati farmers Chandrasekhar of Mudigere and Deviprasad of Mogru village gave information about integrated farming. At the same time, Pramila M.R., who retired from the Department of Agriculture, was felicitated.

Under the Atma Yojana for the year 2021-22, the recipient of the Best Farmer Award was felicitated under the Integrated Farmer Unit. Under the 2021-22 agricultural award scheme, Dharmaraj who won the first prize under the rice crop competition, Krishnappa Gowda who won the second prize, Ranjith who won the third place and progressive farmers Devi Prasad, Chandrasekhar, Krishna Bhat, Naveen Naik were honoured.
