Mahashivratri festival at Dharmastala manjunathaswamy temple

Belthangadi: Daily devotion to God with a pure mind, word and body has immense power. Dharamsthala priest said that if everyone at home prays, meditates, bhajans and worships God with devotion every day, all difficulties and losses will be solved and happiness and peace will be found. Virendra Heggade said.

He was speaking during the Shivratri Vigil on Saturday at Pravachana Mandapam in Dharamsthala while inaugurating the Ahoratri Shiv Panchakshari Chanting.
He suggested that everyone should give good religious rites to children at home.

Bhajan training kammata is organized every year in Dharamsthala due to which the Bhajan Mandirs of the town are growing and shining as centers of Shraddha-Bhakti religious activities. He expressed happiness that good culture has been established in rural areas as well.
He suggested that after praying to the house god and Ishta deva daily at home, once a year one can go to areas like Dharamsthala, Katilu, Subrahmanya, Udupi etc. where there is a special presence and serve with devotion.
Every year thousands of people from many towns like Bangalore, Mysore, Hassan, Mandya come to Dharamsthala on pilgrimage. Disciplined to maintain the purity of the body, he prioritizes cleanliness and performs padayatras with a pure mind-vachana-kaya and solves all his difficulties. He said that he will get mental peace and tranquility after coming here.


Speaking on behalf of the hikers, Ramesh from Bangalore said that he got special peace and comfort from the hike.
Devotees performed Siyala Abhishekam, Shataru Abhishekam in the Ahoratri temple.
Ahoratri devotees performed Shiv Panchakshari chanting, bhajan, prayer and meditation in the temple premises.
Heggade wished that Shivratri would bring welfare to the world.
Hemavathi Vee. Heggade, D. Surendra Kumar, Mohandas Swamiji of Manila, Hanumanthappa of Bangalore and Mariyappa, leader of the Padayatris Association, were present.
