The origin of this breed of cow, which is recognized all over the world, is Punganur village in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. It is said that the name of the village is also derived from this breed of cow.
A cow of this pure nature is worth lakhs of rupees. Adaptable to any situation, these are very neat and clean. Cows of this breed give great importance to cleanliness.
