Sammed Shikharji tourism project opposed by Jains

Belthangadi: The state government has decided to make Sammedashikharji in the state of Jharkhand, a holy pilgrimage site of Jains, as a tourist spot, which has been condemned by the Jain community and is a threat to religious sentiments.

On December 28, all the listeners in Moodbidre said that the sanctity of Shikharji, the place of salvation of Tirthankaras, should be saved. Under the leadership of Abhayachandra Jain, a silent march was held and a request was made to the President and the Prime Minister.

 

A copy of the petition was handed over to Dharamsthala, Rajya Sabha member on Monday. The social workers have requested Virendra Heggade to respond immediately and provide appropriate guidance and cooperation for the protection of the sanctity of the shrine.

Sampath Samaraya Shirtadi, Sudarshan Jain of Bantwala, and Arkakirthi Indra, Parswanath Jain of Karkala, Yuvaraja Jain, President of Excellent Institute, Patnashetty Sudhesh Kumar, Adarsh ​​M, Moktesar of Basadis. And Dinesh Anadka was present.

Accepting the request, Heggade promised to give full cooperation in this regard.
