Amongst the monolithic idols of Karnataka, Venur Baahubali idol is 36 feet and is the fourth highest in height. It has a tradition of conducting Maha Mastaka Abhisheka every 12 years and it has been going on since 1956. The previous Mahamastakabhisheka was held in 2012. Due to the sun, this time Mahamastakabhisheka programs have been decided to be completed at night.
