Mundaaje: Locals said that Mrityunjaya river water flowing from Charmadi side to Kalmanja through Mundaje is polluted. The Mrityunjaya river flows further along the confluence with the Netravati near Pajiradka in Kalmanja village.

The flow level of river Mrityunjaya, which has a good flow in summer, has decreased this time, and here too, like the river Netravati, there is only water in some scattered pits. The water in these wells was found to be contaminated on Tuesday. There is a lot of algae in the pit areas and the water has turned muddy in color.
Although there is currently no sand fishing in these shallow areas of the river, it is not known why the water has suddenly become polluted.

Because of the tornado?
On Monday evening, a huge cyclone blew in the river area near Mundaje Bridge on the National Highway where Mrityunjaya River flows and it moved towards the low-lying area of the river. Eyewitness Vishwanath Bende of Mundaje said that there was a lot of dust that was raised at this time and it is likely to have mixed with the river water and Unusable water.
Mundaje, Arekkallu, Balyarakappu, Janbailu, Kadamballi, Koppala Mularu, Anangalli, Kudenchi living in the river environment, because the water collected in the river pits is polluted with mud, it is impossible for the people of this area to use water for daily needs.
Day by day increasing temperature, cold, dry, cloudy weather, river water has decreased, and the water in the rivers has become polluted in this way, which has created anxiety among the locals.
There is a suspicion among the locals that the sand mining going on in the area may be the reason for the lack of water.
