Belthangady:In Malavantige village of Belthangadi taluk, it was learned that wild boars attacked agrsicultural field on Friday night and caused agricultural damage. Four to five per cent wildebeests have entered the area of Padumannu, Kudmul, Palandrottu, Mittottu, and this time the locals noticed it and tried to chase the elephants.
In the Tulupule environment near the same area, a single bird was seen in the gardens on Friday night. The wildlife department staff of the forest department visited and inspected the areas where the elephants have caused damage. Leaf spot disease is rampant in Malavanti environment along with the increase in wild animals and the farmers of the area are getting harassed.
