Kalmanja: Ms. Sundari, a resident near Kaje of Kalmanja village, Belthangadi taluk, committed suicide on January 1, 2023.
It is said that Mrs. Sundari, wife of Suresh, a resident of Kaje near Kalmanja village, was addicted to alcohol and had depression associated with her drinking habit. She consumed rat poison on December 18, 2022.
After that, Sundari, who was frequently sick, was taken by her husband Suresh to the Belthangadi Government Hospital and treated, but she became very ill and was admitted to Wenlock Hospital, Mangalore on December 27 for further treatment. It is known that he died on 1st due to ineffective treatment.
A case has been registered in this regard at Dharmasthala police station.
