Belthangady: A youth came to the forest in Dharmasthala, made a video of himself while consuming poison and sent it to his family, following which he was rushed to a hospital by Dharmasthala police.
Sunil (28), a resident of Ramanathapura in Arakalagudu Taluk of Hassan district, had come to Dharmasthala on the morning of Wednesday September 27. After having Lord’s darshan he went to a hillock next to Mahatma Gandhi Circle in Dharmasthala Village on his Hero Honda bike. He then sent photos of Dharmasthala deity along with a video of him having darshan of Lord Dharmasthala, photos of Mahatma Gandhi Circle to his family and friends, following which his family and friends informed Dharmasthala Police Station.
Sunil, who owns a footwear shop is married and has a three-month-old son. He allegedly resorted to suicide as he was fed up fighting with his wife. A case has been registered at Dharmasthala Police Station in this regard.
