Woman robbed, three arrested in Moodabidri

Belthangady: Mangaluru CCB Police have arrested three accused involved in the case of assault and robbery of a woman in Moodabidri.

The arrested have been identified as Dinesh Poojary, a resident of Badagamijaru Village in Moodabidri, Sukesh Poojary, a resident of Ullagudde Hosamani in Belthangady taluk and Harish Poojary, a resident of Damke in Moodabidri.

According to the report, the three barged into the house of a single woman named Kamala, a resident of Berinje Gudde in Ashwathapura, Moodabidri at around 10.30 pm on Tuesday, August 30. A case has been registered at Moodabidri Police Station in this regard for physically assaulting Kamala, stealing gold ornaments and fleeing.

The CCB police arrested three persons near Kulashekara Churchgate when the miscreants were on their way to Mangaluru with the stolen gold ornaments. The police have seized items worth Rs 4.5 lakh, along with stolen jewellery 2 scooters, 3 mobiles, and 2 monkey caps.
