Beltangady: The incident took place on Sunday night when a car traveling from in Kottigehar towards Ujire lost control near the second turn of Charmadi Ghati and fell into a ditch about 100 meters below.
Ujire Gram Panchayat President Pushpavathi R. Shetty and his family members were returning from a visit to the house of deceased relatives in Koppa when the accident took place, preliminary information said that five people including Pushpavati R. Shetty’s daughter Purnima Shetty, grandson Samridh and relative Sarojini Shetty were seriously injured and the injured were admitted to various hospitals. The police of Beltangady traffic station have reached the spot and are conducting an investigation. It is learned that many people have gathered at the accident site
