Belthangadi: When the officers were patrolling to prevent any illegal excise activities related to Vidhana Sabha elections-2023, an incident took place on A.10 when a man named Ratnakara of Odilna was caught selling liquor illegally in Kellaguthu of Belthangadi town.
This operation was carried out under the guidance of Joint Commissioner of Excise, Mangalore and District Deputy Commissioner of Excise, Deputy Superintendent of Excise, Bantwal Sub Division and Excise Inspector, Belthangadi Zone. Liquor was seized.
A case has been registered against the absconding accused. The vehicle and liquor were seized with a total value of Rs. 3,31,720 is.Excise Deputy Inspector Syed Shabir has registered the case and is conducting further investigation.
Ujire: An incident took place on A. 10 when the police seized a person named Shashidhar from selling liquor illegally in Neerachilume of Ujire village of Belthangadi taluk. The accused fled from the spot and seized 8,640 liters of liquor. A case has been registered against the absconding accused.
