Ujire: Belthangadi Inspector Satyanarayan and his team visited and inspected about 8 lodges here on Feb. Reported on 25th evening.
On the 10th of this month, when the police raided the lodges here, they rescued five women who were engaged in prostitution in a lodge operating on Charmadi Road, registered a case against four men who were cooperating and arrested two of them.
As per the guidance of Bantwala DySP, the inspector and staff went to the lodges on Saturday, checked the documents there, collected the room holders and warned the owners.
