Venur : Mohammad Isam (11), son of Ismail, a resident of Gerukatte Kali, Belthangadi Taluk, who was seriously injured in an accident between a car and an auto-rickshaw near Perinje Bandasale on the Venur-Moodbidire state highway, died yesterday.
While the auto rickshaw was coming towards Venur from Moodbidire side, a car coming from Venur collided near Perinje Bandasale. The car and the auto rickshaw overturned and were crushed due to the collision. The rickshaw driver and the woman and three children who were traveling in it were seriously injured. Among the injured, Muhammad Isam, who was admitted to a private hospital in Moodbidiri, passed away after the treatment failed, much to the grief of his parents. The accident happened when he was in a rickshaw coming from his grandmother’s house to Gerukatta. The rest of the injured are recovering.
