Theft in Kokkada School : Four people have been arrested

Beltangady: Four people have been arrested in connection with the case of defilement in a school in Kokkada and the defiled items have been seized from them.

The arrested accused are Rakshit D (24), Tirthesh M (29), Yajnesh U.K (30) and Rohit Shetty (23), residents of Kutruppadi in Kadaba taluk.They broke the door of the government high school in Kokkada village of Belthangadi taluk and stole eight batteries worth about 32 thousand. A case was registered in Dharmasthala police station and now the accused have been arrested. An Alto car and batteries worth about two lakh stolen from the accused have been seized and the items used in the theft have been seized.
It was revealed that the accused had committed theft in different police station areas of the district, four schools in Uppinangadi police station area, two schools in Subrahmanya police station area, one school in Puttur Nagar police station area, one school in Bantwala police station area and one school in Dharmasthala police station area. S.I Anil Kumar of Dharmasthala police station and his team have now arrested the accused and the accused have been produced in the court
