Belthangady: Krishnappa Karkera (85), a resident of Eniru of Guripalla in Kanyadi – 1 Village passed away at his residence on Friday September 16.
He died after suffering from a brief illness. A progressive agriculturist, he had been serving as a member of the Managing Committee of Nidigal Sree Lokanatheshwara Temple for 20 years. He had served as the President of Sri Ganeshotsava Samiti at Guripalla and as a leader of several local organisations.
He is survived by his wife, four sons and a daughter.
