Belthangadi: Multi-talented folk artist H Krishnaiah (48) of Laila village passed away at his home on February 20 evening.
He had been suffering from illness for some time. He made the enthusiastic youth group of Laila village recognized at the state level and gave several programs on the radio and television. Janapada used to sing all the art forms, ballads, raga songs, bhava songs, devotional songs, struggle songs. He learned songs through the radio during his school days and was recognized as a state level artist. He has been honored by several organizations including state and district level awards.
