200th special camp for de-alcoholism at Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala

He was addressing the 200th special camp campers who were admitted and treated for de-alcoholism at Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Addiction and Research Centre, Ujire, Laila..A crocodile is not in the habit of letting go of anything it grabs. Similarly, if alcohol grips a person, it is very difficult to let go. Regardless of caste, creed or creed, alcoholism is rampant among all. Many families have become homeless due to alcoholism. An addict forgets his responsibilities and destroys his personality personally and family. This insanely daring addict doesn’t hesitate to do anything bad. 51 campers from 23 districts of the state participated in the camp. Addressing the campers, “If he becomes a slave to alcohol again in the near future, it means his defeat. So be very careful with old friends. Keep your mind and intellect under control so that you don’t get addicted again. Make up your mind, make a firm resolve not to be distracted anymore. Wishing you and your family good health.”

The Executive Director of the project, Dr L.H. Manjunath gave special guidance to the campers and their families. In the camp Dr. K. S. Hegde Hospital, Department of Psychiatry, Mangalore Srinivas Bhatt, Advisors Suman Pinto, Dr Mekhala, Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwar Hospital Dr Balakrishna Bhatt, Shri Mohandas Gowda of Panchami Hitayurdham Hospital, treated. To the camp Fr. Shankar, Pattabhirama, Ashok Polali, Krishna entertained the campers. D.A. Rahiman, Dr Narayana Bhatt, Project Chief Operating Officer Anil Kumar S.S., Public Awareness Regional Director Vivek V. Pais, Project Officer Mohan, Camp Officer Nagendra H.S. Health Assistant Venkatesh conducted the information program. The next special camp will start from May 15, a release from the forum said.
