Gopalakrishna Kanchodu has been nominated for this prestigious award held every year by Asia Vedic Culture Research University.
Recently he has been awarded by Central and State Govt Jai Jawan Jai Kisan selected for “Krishika Ratna” Award, March 15, Bangalore
Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai in the program held at the town hall.
Vidhan Parishad Speaker Basavaraja Horatti received the award from him.
Gopalakrishna Kanchodu retired from the Indian Army after serving in various parts of the country including Jammu and Kashmir.
After his retirement from the army, he came to Tannoor and settled in Ujire of Beltangadi taluk, established a business called “Ravi Traders” and created a livelihood for thousands of youths, providing free information to youths who want to join the army.
Participating in social activities, doing organic farming without disturbing the nature (save water, soil) with scientific, modern technologies in the field of agriculture, growing exotic fruits with mango, coconut, banana cultivation, natural harmony with nature, beekeeping to complement the touch of pollen. Ten are guiding many interested farmers.
Also doing social service activities.
