Beltangadi: The forest department is struggling to control the forest fire that was found 4 days ago in Alekhan Horatti forest area of Chikmagalur division of Charmadi Ghati area.
The forest fire that was seen in these areas on Sunday was brought under control and was seen again on Monday. After the forest fire was discovered, the department staff is conducting emergency operations.
Currently, there is a fire in a distant hill, and there is a situation where it is not possible to move here. It is said that if this continues, there is a possibility of spreading towards Balur or Kudremukh.
Eyewitness travelers said that light fires are being seen here and there at Charmadi Ghat.
Swathi, RFO of Beltangadi Wildlife Division said that the forest fire that occurred in the forest of Belthangadi taluk a few days ago has been fully controlled and no fire cases have been reported at present.
