Ujire: A fire has spread in an area of ​​more than 50 acres of Mundaje-Dharmasthala reserve forest in Dharmasthala and Chibidre villages of Nertane, Ekkela, Kotihittilu, Posalika etc.

A fire broke out in a forest area on Saturday and the operation to control the fire continued on Sunday.


DRFOs Ravindra Ankalagi, Bhavani Shankar, Hariprasad Yatindra, patrol forest rangers Panduranga Kamathi, Sadananda locals Sachin Bhide, Mundappa, Kitta, Gopal etc. are operating in different places of the forest.
It is said that there was no damage to the forest resources as the fire broke out in the forest area’s straw, hay and wood.
