Beltangady: There was a fire incident in the rubber plantation of Agari Chako of Mundaje village, and the response of the local people caused more disaster.
A fire broke out in the straw in the rubber plantation on Monday afternoon and spread quickly to about 2 acres of rubber plantation. Locals Ramanna Shetty, Sachin Bhide, Jagdish Nayka, Ganesh Bangera, Bharat Shetty, and others succeeded in controlling the fire.
It has been learned that about 300 rubber plants in the place were on fire, and there was no significant damage to the rubber plants. It is not known what caused the fire.
