Belalu: On behalf of Beltangady Taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishad, Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwar High School organized a literature promotion program for school children as part of summer camp. Teachers’ Protection Association and Alumni Association of the school participated.
Journalist Ashraf Ali Kunhi Mundaje, who came as a resource person, said, writing is an art. There is an opportunity to develop art as a business and as a hobby. He opined that writing skills such as stories and poetry, which are complementary to education, develop the individual’s personality and prepare the students for life. After that the resource persons gave practical training to the students on story and poetry writing.
Headmaster Ramakrishna Bhat presided over the meeting. Camp coordinator Krishnananda and teaching staff were present on the stage.Students Jeevan Kumar presented the report of the camp.
