Belthangadi : The incident took place on Wednesday morning when the lower part of Warta Bhawan in the commercial complex of Belthangadi Town Panchayat collapsed and injured two workers.
The town panchayat was verbally informed about the collapse of the lower part of Vartha Bhawan building near Belthangadi KSRTC bus stand for the past one week. But the public has accused the town panchayat of negligence. Due to continuous pressure, while the repair work was being carried out by the town panchayat this morning, the iron sheet attached to the building collapsed and two workers were injured. The injured have been admitted to Beltangady Government Hospital.
